I don't know why I find this so interesting. Linda Stein, a former punk-rock manager turned real estate broker and long-time friend of Madonna, was bludgeoned to death with a piece of exercise equipment in her Fifth Avenue penthouse. Her personal assistant, Natavia Lowery, has confessed to the murder.
Apparently Ms. Stein, who was sixty-two years old, blew marijuana smoke in Ms. Lowery's face and was verbally abusive. Stein uttered some racially-demeaning comments just moments before succumbing to a fatal blow to the head with a yoga stick.

HOLY COW! I read about Stein's murder last week or so, then went to news articles online about the young black woman (the personal assistant) beating her to death with that yoga stick! TALK ABOUT SNAPPING AND LOSING YOUR COOL! Many say Stein was a pretty uncouth and domineering woman, but who knows?
Irony being she got murdered with something meant to bring about peace and tranquility.

Well, it's about style and design, but it's also about something being well made - and Louis products are VERY well made. Everything I own, even the bags and wallets I have had for 8-10 years, look new. Plus, the brand has a fabulous history (hundreds of years old), has been around a long, long time, and it's French! ;-) There are few brands that can compare in any of these ways. Then there is the superb service they provide - I can have parts replaced, a bag cleaned, all at no cost, and for as long as I own the product. Plus, it's simply fun.
So weird. Stein was crude and uncouth but the p.a. had to have been out of her mind to begin with. Most of us would just walk out and say fuck off and die. Or give two weeks notice. Abby normal girl.

I heard all about that on BBC World Service... couldn't help but think at the time "they'll get one hell of a Vanity Fair feature out of THIS!!!"
Looking at her face again: liver spots darling. No wonder she got murdered.
