I turned forty-five years old on August 11th. I pride myself on having a healthy attitude about age...but this one is different. This one puts me a little too close to fifty, and it has me squirming... just a little. I can only imagine what Madonna must be going through this week, with her fiftieth birthday approaching n'all. Poor thing.Alas, we Leos know how to deal with uncomfortable situations. We simply throw a party in our own honor and use the fawning attention as a way to cope. I invited friends and family to a tacky Japanese restaurant called Flaming Wok, the kind of place where the chef performs stupid tricks with his knife, a couple of eggs, and lots of rice. There's a crap load of flame-throwing too. Tacky yet strangely appropriate. After dinner and a chorus of Happy Birthday sung by everyone in the joint, we headed out for 18 holes of moon-lit miniature golf.
It was fun, it was glamorous, and it helped me forget.

I hope u had a wonderful birthday D. It must be a bit scary I suppose, but fear not. 45 is the new 35! RIGHT?! I mean, here I am in almost to my mid -thirties, but MAN I am defying my age amazingly! This is very encouraging! Being pasty like Madonna and avoiding the sun is doing wonders for me!
