Bill Clinton's War

Before 9-11-2001

Bill Clinton sent legislation to Congress that would
tighten airport security.
It was defeated by the Republicans because of
opposition from the airlines.

Bill Clinton sent legislation to Congress to allow for
better tracking of Terrorist
funding.

It was defeated by the Republicans
due to banking interests.

I heard a story from pre 9.11 about some Brit journalist telling an American woman who worked there at an American airport "there's an unattended bag over there don't you think someone should do something about it just in case..." this woman, with all her training/etc had honestly no conception in an international airport that an unattended bag could mean a BOMB... you Americans have been so lucky for so many years being isolated from terrorism it is unreal... and the American leaders would not listen to our prime ministers' complaining about the IRA basically being allowed to do quite open money raising in New York... ALL this is pre 9.11 but the about-turn hipocrisy of it all makes me quite sick

Here's to possibly coming back to the White House real soon!

Did ya ever see the clip of Bill getting pissed at reporter Chris Wallace? Mighty interesting one to check out indeed and most related to this post of yours!
